Someone just committed suicide on I-84 in Danbury, CT. Apparently, they walked in front of a tractor-trailer. I feel bad for the poor guy driving the rig. His life will never be the same.
And traffic is bumper to bumper for about 10 miles. Shit.

I interviewed a guy last year about his near death experience. He told me he was standing on an overpass ready to leap onto the freeway because things weren't going well for him. Fortunately he was near a hospital so he walked into the ER and because of some very recent and generous community funded programs for mental health he was able to get back to life. He told me, there is no reason to end your life, you can always fix things, its never as bad as it seems and its only after you've stepped back from the brink you realize it. Sadly, people don't get the message. Depression is a hellava thing and it really messes up your thinking. I feel for this poor guy and what must have driven him there. Sad Story. Not really sad that you are stuck in traffic BTW, I mean i would be...were the situation different.

Wow, that's some heavy stuff right there. That program is a real life-saver.
I'm not stuck in this, as I don't Oppo while driving. But I was just about to leave and checked the map first, expecting the usual rush hour traffic... but definitely not this.

Im glad you aren't stuck...really I am, I get pretty sensitive about this issue though. Its a pretty great program, btw and its really made a big difference. The place I work sends me out to film these kinds of stories all the time and its really something.

im a video producer for a healthcare organization. I talk to docs, Cancer survivors, heart patients and all sorts of feel good stories. its a good job.

And here I was bitching about the Liberty tunnel northbound being closed this morning. That tunnel closing added an hour to my trip to Lawrenceville this morning.
Sucks that people choose this way out. There are so many other options.
